Once every 3-game series in 2011, or to be more precise every 2.4 games, Corpus Christi Hooks fan Dan Nelson snagged a game home run. At this blistering pace he finished the season with an astounding 32 gamers, over five times greater than his nearest competitor on the myGameBalls.com Minor League site.
Nelson, who also led the site with 296 total balls in 2011, was voted the website's first Ballhawk of the Year. A devoted fan of his hometown Hooks, he attended 77 games at their home ballpark, Whataburger Field, and snagged at least one baseball in all 77 games.
