Voting Begins Today for End-of-Year Awards

All Members Can Cast Their Votes This Week for 2012 Accolades

The Ballhawk of the Year Award is the most prestigious award in all of ballhawking.

This week myGameBalls members will be voting to select the website's fourth annual post-season awards. On the ballot is the Ballhawk of the Year Award (BOY) for the top overall ballhawk and the Junior Ballhawk of the Year Award (JBOY) for the top ballhawk under the age of 18.

As is the case with the MLB MVP, Cy Young, and Rookie of the Year awards, voters are encouraged to take into account the totality of stats, not just a single category. Total Balls, Average Per Game, and Game Balls are just a few of the main categories that should be examined when filling out the ballot.

The final winners will be determined based on a point system. All first place votes are worth 3 points, second place votes are worth 2 points, and 3rd place votes are worth 1 point. The ballot includes all myGameBalls members for the BOY award, but filters out those ineligible (over 18 years old) for the JBOY award. Keep in mind that members who have not entered an age into their profile are also on the JBOY ballot, so be sure to double-check that the members you vote for are under 18.

Don't Delay! Log in Now to vote. Voting will close prompty on November 12 at 8:00 AM EST.
