Los Angeles ballhawk Warner Myerson, participating in his first season on myGameBalls.com, put up numbers that you'd only expect to see from a seasoned ballhawk. The numbers were so impressive that he was the overwhelming choice of his peers to be the 2014 Junior Ballhawk of the Year.
Myerson's monster season featured 272 total balls, 31 game balls, and 1 game home run. He averaged 6.63 balls per game, putting him third among junior ballhawks and ninth overall. His average competition factor of 306,099 is first among junior ballhawks and second overall. He also snagged at least one ball in all 41 of his games this year.
His sole game home run of the season came on a Carlos Ruiz homer on April 21 at Dodger Stadium.
His best outing of the year in terms of total balls was an 18 ball performance on April 26. His competition factor for that game was an incredible 814,338.
In last week's voting, Myerson received 7 first place votes and 10 second place votes for a total of 41 points. Coming in second place was Maddie L who snagged 87 balls this year and earned 26 points in the vote. Third place went to Tim Cook (21 points), followed by Cole Adkins (20 points), Nick Badders (16 points), and Angel Arroyo (11 points).
