Badders Voted Minors Junior Ballhawk of the Year
Oakland Ballhawk Wins Award After Snagging 32 Live Game Balls in 2014

Sixteen year old Nick Badders is a well known ballhawk at Oakland Athletics' games, but you may not know that he's also made quite a name for himself by snagging balls at Banner Island Ballpark. So much so that the community of Minor League ballhawks on myGameBalls.com voted him the 2014 Junior Ballhawk of the Year. Badders snagged 47 balls on the year, 32 of which were live game balls. He averaged 4.7 balls per game and recorded his best outing on August 16 with 10 balls. Badders received 6 first place votes, 1 second place vote, and 2 third place votes for a total of 22 points. Coming in second place after an impressive 94 ball season was Abigail Headington (15 points), followed by Demetrius Kazanas (14 points), and Charlie Streetman (10 points).
