New York Ballhawk Snags 408 Balls, Wins Top Honor for Second Straight Season
For the second consecutive year, New York ballhawk Takyi Chan was voted the Minor League Ballhawk of the Year. Chan, ballhawking primarily in Staten Island at Richmond County Bank Ballhawk, snagged an impressive 408 balls to lead all Minor League ballhawks.
Averaging 12 balls per game, Chan also recorded 25 double-digit games, 103 game balls, and seven game home runs. His top game of the year was a 26 ball outing on June 21 at Richmond County Bank Ballpark.
For his career, Chan has now snagged 1,333 total balls.
Coming in second place in the voting was Alex Kopp (102 balls), followed by Edison (311 balls), and Dan Nelson (275 balls).
